Not an unusual start for Kevin; "My dad was riding motorbikes, but just for his hobby. One time, when I was watching him at a training on the Sachsenring, I saw some little pocketbikes and I told my dad, 'I wanna try this'. From first time riding a motorbike I liked it really so much, so I got my own pocketbike at Christmas. There everything started."
2008 - 3rd German Pocketbike Championship Junior A
"My brother Leon is also riding motorbikes, so I have a trainings partner, what is really helpful to get better. All my whole family has stood behind me from the first moment I saw a motorbike. My dad manages me and my mom helps me on and off the racetrack."
2009 - German Pocketbike Champion Junior A
"I have ridden motorbike competitions since 2008. I contested the German pocketbike championship for three years. In the first I was third, in the second year I was the winner and the third year I was second because I broke my leg."
2013 - 2nd Honda NSF 100 European Championship
After progressing through other classes he joined the Moriwaki 250 Junior Cup in 2014. "I made some good races, for example the race in Oschersleben where I won. Also Brands Hatch where I was fighting for the win with my competitor and friend Filip Salac, 13 seconds in the front of the other riders but I crashed while overtaking on the last lap in the last corner because I wanted a little bit too much."
2014 - The Brands Hatch Moriwaki 250 Junior Cup race
"Last year I started in our own Team (ORM-Orgis Racing Management) and I rode the Moriwaki Cup again. I started with more experience and I was a lot faster than the year before. At the end I won the cup."
When he is away from the race track he enjoys sport and physics at school and playing bass guitar & football. His racing heroes are Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner so he intends to follow them, "To grow up step by step to the World Championship."
Winning the 250 Moriwaki Junior Cup in 2015 taught him a greaty deal. "I learned to ride really close with other riders on a high limit."
Winning the Moriwaki 250 Junior Cup in 2015
"In my opinion my best race was my last in Zandvoort, the Netherlands because in this race would decide who will be the champion. So there was a high pressure on me. On top of this it was the home track of my two rivals and I didn't know this track. But at the end I won both races with the fastest lap and I became the new Moriwaki Cup Champion."
"I also had the chance with the Kiefer Racing Team to get a wildcard to start in the Northern European Cup at the Sachsenring as part of the MotoGP. There I rode a Moto3 Kalex KTM for first time ever without a training and took 3rd place."

He is of course looking forweard to his first Rookies Cup season. "The bike is new for me, but I want to be fast as soon as I can." He is likely to enjoy the GP circuits. "I like fast tracks with long and fast corners most."
So what is it that he likes most about racing? "For me it's a little bit of all, but two things are more important for me. These are at first racing and winning because that's what I want and secondly the work with the team because it's the base for my sport and it makes a lot of fun to win together."
And his interesting design?
"My favourite animal is the cheetah because it's not the biggest but the fastest and the most agile animal on the earth. That's the reason why it's on my logo."
